  • Born in South Africa, Kwa Zulu in 1956
  • Trained with Trust House Forte in President Hotel Johannesburg and London’s Grosvenor House Hotel
  • Graduated from Westminster College London
  • Graduated as a Master Chef in 1982 Craft Guild of Chefs
  • Has Held the position of Executive Chef in Several Countries with Le Meridien, Hilton International, Sun International and The Dan Hotel Corporation in UK, South Africa, France, Israel, Southern Africa and Indian Ocean arena for Sun International, Hong Kong and Switzerland.
  • Group's Problem Solving Chef for Sun International for 4 years.
  • Executive Chef Royal Swazi Sun.
  • First Represented South Africa’s Craft Guild Team in the Salon Culinaire London in 1980 and then in 1982.
  • Has been appointed Executive Chef to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on several state banquet events in three countries.
  • Total 18 Gold 13 Silver and 8 Bronze Medals at various International Culinary Competitions
  • Captain Craft Guild Culinary Team Hotelympia 2000- 2 Gold 3 Silver 2 Bronze medals
  • Gold Medalist ‘Five Nations’ Competition London as a member of the Scottish Culinary team standing in for a chef.
  • Craft Guild of Chefs Gold medal achievement award South Africa 1984
  • Represented Dan Israel Team 1987 Basel Switzerland 1 Gold Medal.
  • Chaine des Rotisseurs Hotel Chef of the Year, Israel 1985
  • 2002 Hotelympia Gold Duck chef of the Year
  • 2000 Craft guild Bronze Medal Award for achievement.
  • Awarded 2 AA Rosettes for four properties in UK.
  • Captain of the British Craft Guild Team 2000/2002 when a record number of medals were won at international level.
  • Appointed Conseiller Culinaire Bailliage France 2017
  • Appointed ‘Chargé de Missions’ Val de Loire 2021
